Ignition Switches
GM turn switch with ignition switch in the dash.

Some early GM columns and some GM van columns did not have a column-mounted ignition switch. Also, some aftermarket columns, such as Ididit, use a GM-style column and turn signal switch, but not the column-mounted ignition switch. These columns use the "something other than a GM-style keyed-column" kit, such as kits 10102, 10202, 10104, and 10204. The Ididit column turn signal switch connector is included in the kits listed above.

I need the connectors for a GM column mounted ignition switch.

Purchase our 30805  GM conversion kit, It has the required ignition, turn signal and dimmer switch connectors with wire pigtails needed to hook up to your GM column. Or, our 30806 GM conversion kit has the same connectors and terminals without the attached wire pigtails.

My kit has two 12-gauge red wires at the dash mounted ignition switch.

Use both wires. Connect them together and attach them to your ignition switch "BAT" terminal.

Four terminal dash ignition switch connections with a universal harness.

Connect the pink and orange wires together at the "IGNITION" terminal on the switch.

Connect the two red wires together at the "BAT" terminal.

Connect the purple wire to the "START" terminal.

Connect the brown wire to the "ACCESSORY" terminal.
